Missions

Missions are a priority at the House of Prayer, as is the local outreach.
Internationally
Africa
The House of Prayer serves as an apostolic covering for two ministries in Harare, Zimbabwe. Pastor Rewai Matengambiri of Worship Ministries International and Pastor Takesure Makumbe of Hope of Life Ministries are the indigenous pastors and overseers of these ministries. They both have planted and presently supervise several churches throughout the country.   In addition, Pastor Matengambiri is the founder of the Father’s House Orphanage in Kuwadzana, Zimababwe; also supported by the House of Prayer.
Pastor Buddy has been instrumental establishing several college campuses with over 225 students throughout Zimbabwe. The college is presently under the supervision of Pastor Ken Haskins in Bulawayo.
Greece
Marvin and Irene McCarson are House of Prayer members who serve as missionaries to Greece. They are presently stationed in Thessaloniki. Their hopes are to begin a trucking ministry that will assist churches in transporting food and supplies to needy churches in Greece, as well as, other third world countries surrounding them.
Nationally
Bridge of Hope Ministries in Hopkinsville, Kentucky comes is under the apostolic covering of   the House of Prayer. The pastor is Roy King.
In 2001, we planted a congregation in South Hill, Virginia that is pastored by Edward and Alfredia Lee of Boydton, Virginia. The church, New Life Ministries is presently an independent work.
Locally
We work with the Community Food and Clothes Closet and the Good Samaritan Fund to help those who are in need in our local community and those transients just passing through.
