Dear fellow pastors:
 
This spring, the House of Prayer church is entering their 30th year of ministry in Clarksville, Virginia. As we reflect on our years of growth, we marvel at what God has accomplished through this ministry and we praise Him for His hand on our church.
 
We began as a congregation of only a handful of people, meeting in homes until February, 1980, when we rented a building on Fourth Street. Then, in May of 1981, we rented our current building with the  option to buy, which we did four years later.  And in 1997, we celebrated ownership of this building with a mortgage-burning service. 
 
Now twelve years later, we embark on our most exciting move of all. On Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 3:00 PM, The House of Prayer church will be celebrating the start of an exciting era with the groundbreaking  of our new church, which will be located on Highway 58 between the Morningstar Outlet and Blank's Garage. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your congregation to join us that afternoon. Your attendance and participation in this event would be an honor to our congregation.
